Practices in general

Parents / participants should expect a 90min practice on most days, some events and age groups might last longer as needed. Daily practice is never mandatory, but highly recommended. Parents should make the necessary arrangements to have their athletes dropped off and picked up promptly. Parents are welcome and encourage to stay/ practice,

The workout schedule is designed to put the athlete in a position to be successful in the meets. All athletes are encouraged to attend all practices per week to get the proper conditioning necessary to be competitive in the meets and to participate on the relay teams.

Restroom facilities and water are not always available for the athletes at practice. All athletes should be properly dressed and be prepared for any changes in the weather. Water and sunscreen is a must for all practices and meets. All athletes should wear good running shoes. Track spike shoes are an optional item and depend on the events and competitiveness of the athlete. The cost of these shoes can vary from around $35 to $100 depending on the brand of shoe and the store.

Please help our coaches coach you and/or your athlete

Our coaches spend their time and money to attend practices and local meets. We encourage our coaches to travel to regional and national meet knowing the cost of travel can be high, especially at the national level were the meet is over 7 days. With that in mind, we ask that if you or your athlete qualifies for a regional or national championship, it is much appreciated that you donate to the coaches travel fund effectively ensuring your coach can attend and help you succeed.
